FAQ About DC Power Systems

Does DC Power Systems sell directly to the consumer?

No. DC Power Systems is a wholesale distributor and only sells to dealers, contractor and solar installers.

I want to put solar on my house or business, how do I find a dealer/installer near me?

Call 707-433-5824 and we’ll refer you to one of our dealer installers in your area.

I’m not currently a DC Power Systems dealer/installer, but I want to be one. How do I sign up?

Fill out the dealer application form (PDF, 93 KB) available here and either email, fax, or mail it to our office. Someone will be in touch with you right away.

Why should I buy from DC Power Systems instead of another distributor?

DC Power Systems is the largest distributor of solar photovoltaic equipment in the U.S., representing a very wide array of the best brands available, for every type of installation. Because of our buying power, you can also be assured that you’ll receive very competitive prices. We also offer more technical and engineering help with your project than any other distributor, giving you the confidence that if you don’t know how to do it, we can help.

Will DC Power Systems drop ship to my job site?

Of course.

Will DC Power Systems arrange a drop ship from your supplier to my job site if you are out of stock?

Sometimes, depending upon the supplier. It’s best if you just ask when the need arises.

I’m on the East Coast. Can I save money in shipping by having some materials drop ship directly from the manufacturer?

Drop shipping from the manufacturer depends upon the manufacturer and is typically limited in scope. It’s best to discuss this option with our sales staff.

How do I sign up for product training?

Go to the training page, find an upcoming training session in which you are interested, and either call or email, indicating your interest. We’ll sign you up. If you’re interested in product training that is not currently scheduled on this site, call or email, indicating your interest and we’ll put you on the list when that class comes up.

What if I want products not listed on your website?

Call our sales department. We may be able to get it for you, or we’ll have an equivalent product to offer you.

Can I get credit terms?

In the dealer application there is a credit application. Fill it out and either email or fax it to us. Many of our dealers have terms, depending upon credit worthiness.

Can I get special pricing if I order a large quantity?

Call our sales department to discuss your specific needs.

Will DC Power Systems provide tech support for my project?

Our technical engineers are happy to help you choose the right equipment for your specific project, and help you make technical and design decisions, all as a free service unmatched by other distribution companies. If you have a project that is beyond your own scope of expertise, our engineers are available to design and specify the system for you in its entirety. This service will be charged at a reasonable hourly rate.

How do you handle warranty and product service issues?

If a product we sold to you fails to work as specified, first call our tech support staff to help trouble-shoot the problem. In many cases, the problem can be resolved in this manner. If tech supports determines that the product is defective, they will provide instructions to return the product to DC Power Systems. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not ship the item back to DC Power Systems without return authorization.
